Today my heart is full of gratitude to my Heavenly Father. First, several weeks ago my mom went for a routine check-up and was told her platelet count was down to 33,000 so they did another test and it was up to 70,000 (normal low is 150,000) so they took a ct scan of her lymph nodes and 4 of them looked enlarged.
They decided to take a sample of her bone marrow as well as her lymph to see if she had leukemia or lymphoma which either one is not something anyone wants. well she just got back from the Dr's and found out she has neither.
What she does have is called ITP or called (idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura) it's a condition of having a low platelet count which conditions you'll see as easy bruising and bleeding or hemorrhaging. They give ITP patients prednisone to help with these symptoms but since my moms blood count rose up she doesn't need the prednisone.
What whirl wind of a month. I'm just grateful she isn't dealing with cancer as the Dr's thought in the beginning.
I just can't imagine my mom gone from this world, she still has so much to accomplish and we want to be there to see all of it happen.
I just love you mom!!!
